@nearlylegal I was served a Section 21 yesterday after 5 years. Last gas safety check was in December so a current valid GSC may exist, but I have not seen one and was not given a copy of it at any time. Does this invalidate my Section 21? Cannot find clear information.
Business idea: Bag o' bananas for people who live alone. Seven bananas of incrementally decreasing ripeness so you can have a perfectly ripe banana every day for a week instead of going nuts on 'optimal ripeness' day.
No I definitely haven't just eaten four bananas.
@sliderulesyou When I worked out in North Carolina, I walked to work (approx 0.75 of a mile) along the pavementless side of the road and people would often stop and ask if I was okay/needed any help/needed a lift. They assumed my car had broken down or that something was otherwise wrong.
Getting very tired of estate agent's solutions to everything.
'Wow this room is dark'
You could just knock it through!
'Bit small'
You could always build an extension!
'Hate all of it'
Raze it to the ground and re-build it brick by brick to your exact specifications!
I dunno what the point of this was. Most people were really lovely and just wanted a nice little chat (before the days of call centre metrics and KPIS). He's probably dead now though, so that's something to warm the heart.
Remembering the time when I worked on the helpline for the Winter Fuel Payment and a very demanding man called to ask where his payment was, and was incredulous, that I, a teenager from the north east who lived alone and hand-to-mouth, had never heard of Coutts Bank.
Had the temerity to ask when I can expect the damp/mould problem in my house to be sorted and for an update on what's happening about the subsidence in my house. Literally just asked nicely if there's any update.
Let’s create a thread of women from history we think more people should know about.
We will start:

@AsdaServiceTeam Asked for a refund on this chicken which arrived yesterday smashed open with a use-by date of tomorrow (website says 5+days) and was rejected, why, when I have no idea how long its been open for and the date isnt within promised limits? Last delivery the driver..
Didnt refund any of the subs i handed back or the damaged items as promised (fabric softener leaked), so I had to request them all myself. Had a different fabric softener incident at start of December too which I had to request refunds.
