Last week we had a milestone visit for the 🇺🇸🇬🇷 partnership!

@SecRubio’s visit to Athens and the Sixth U.S.-Greece Strategic Dialogue reaffirmed the strength of our alliance and delivered concrete results across defense and security, energy, trade and investment, technology, and cultural cooperation.

From deepening our defense partnership and celebrating the growing connections between Greece and Florida through the new State Partnership Program, the United States and Greece are working together to promote greater security and prosperity across the region.

The visit also celebrated the enduring ties between our peoples, with new agreements to protect Greece’s extraordinary cultural heritage and the announcement of the first-ever Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation grant in Greece, which will help preserve correspondence between founding father Thomas Jefferson and Adamantios Korais.

As we celebrate #Freedom250, our two nations continue to build on generations of friendship and shared values toward an even stronger future together. 🇺🇸🇬🇷
