No Rarity Pop Report Bi-Monthly Update
31st May
Will do this bi-weekly so we can see the progress of population growth, will see how to tweak it over time to show longer term growth too.
Highlighted the most interesting points.
Seems a lot of people happy to grade lower grade Gyarados and Mewtwo which isn’t surprising due to the pokemon’s popularity.
PSA 9/8 growth is relatively small compared to total new grades.
Also added in a total column so you can see the true extent of the scarcity.
No new PSA 10 Certs

No Rarity Pop Report - 14/05/26
Should be pretty easy to understand, I combined both PSA 8/9 because realistically they r both the Modern PSA 10 equivalent.
PSA 10 and 9 to some extent are largely unobtainable.
Will update monthly.
Pretty interesting to see how low supply Raichu, Clefairy and Venusaur are.
Venusaur must really be hated.
Clefairy is just a shock to me.
Raichu will clearly be a problem to obtain in the future.

This content is legitimately gold.
Have a watch of this video and it explains why prices are so difficult to drop especially with the new $CARDS narrative.
He explains Pokemon / Commodities business in the best possible way and in a way you retard degens can understand.

Pikachu flipping the Old Art Masters
So Pikachu Van Gogh’s theoretical market cap is over $200 million looking at only the PSA 10 and 9s
The highest publicly auctioned Van Gogh (Orchard with Cypresses) sold for $117.18 Million in 2022.
Pikachu had actually flipped Van Gogh months ago 🤣.
Whats the next target?
If we can double the price of Van Gogh Pikachu we can also flip Leonardo Da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi, last sold for 450 Million in 2017 👀.
What part of the cycle are we at lads and ladettes 😏?
I choose you Pikachu
Sometimes its the most obvious plays that will end up performing the best. The 30th anniversary announcement has just reminded people that Pikachu IS the main character of Pokemon.
Vintage Pikachu cards will only get in higher demand over time as long as more people enjoy and get into Pokemon.
There is no seasonality, no new generation to replace him. If Pikachu is to be replaced it means Pokemon was replaced and Pokemon is past its prime.
I would say excluding my No Rarity Collection, 80% of my remaining collection revolves around Pikachu.
If you don’t have Pikachu in your set and you really consider yourself a collector/Investor i really think you need to rethink your investment thesis.
Atsuko Nishida’s Hidden Illustrator Charmander Origin
So you may remember i mentioned the stark similarities between the first ever Corocoro Jumbo Card Pikachu and the Illustrator Pikachu.
Well heres another hidden easter egg i found in the Jumbo Corocoro Collection.
Did you ever notice the blurred Charmander in Pikachu Illustrator?
Now look at the Summar Vacation Corocoro Jumbo.
Notice anything?
It is clearly the same designed charmander, and now we have two pokemon both from Corocoro Jumbo reappearing in Corocoro’s most famous card the Pikachu Illustrator.
In fact these Jumbo Cards actually came before the Illustrator Pikachu meaning these art style / Artworks are borrowed from the Jumbo designs.
As far as i know the black object people suspect is maybe an ink well. Still trying to see if I can disprove this tho 😅.
The Corocoro series never stops to surprise me and I am very convinced this set will be considered the historical most important set of Japanese Pokemon.
Pikachu’s Origin - Atsuko Nishida
Atsuko was the designer of Pikachu. Well actually she was the designer of the Chunky Pikachu but over time this Chunky Pikachu slimmed down to the Pikachu we all know today.
Her most famous illustration today is off course the Pikachu Illustrator.
I happened to start looking at my cards and illustrators and noticed I have one of her cards. It happened also to be her first Pokemon TCG illustration. She has continued to produce hundreds of other illustrations for the pokemon brand.
1997 Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Clefairy Corocoro released on 15th of June.
This card effectively were the 3 signature cute mascots of early Pokemon. Pikachu being the official first Mascot although Clefairy was originally meant to have this role.
Jigglypuff ended up with a serious recurring role almost like a co-star in the anime following the gang around singing everyone to sleep.
Fun cute meta fact : the box’s translation is roughly “Pokemon that female Trainers compete to find, You can’t help but want to squeeze them tight”
Was a very pleasant surprise to know this card actually one of my favourites ended up having such a connection and importance to one of the big 3 illustrators of Pokemon.
1st Cracked Grading Results
Jan Shipment
I started grading stuff or cross grading stuff once i couldn’t find anything left on the market at a price point I could accept, corocoro have always been very difficult to source. Not a massive fan of grading myself as it adds an extra element of gambling.
20% are cross grading of low pop cards.
80% of my grading inventory were from buying cheap raws.

2 1997 Corocoro Surfing Pikachu
2 2009 Rising Rivals flying Pikachu
1 Corocoro - CCIC 9
1 Corocoro - Raw
1 Rising Rivals - CGC 9
1 Rising Rivals - CGC 8.5
Results
2 Corocoro - PSA 8
1 Rising Rical - PSA 8
1 Rising Rivals -PSA 7
Pretty much everything got downgraded 1 grade, a tad disappointed with the PSA 7 Rising rivals but the raw corocoro PSA 8 makes up for it… A PSA 9 was a long shot for most considering the centerings.
But so far 3/3 all downgraded I have a variety of cards coming back next 1-6 months I feel most CGC, Beckett etc do downgrade 1 grade minimum just by eyeballing them.
Just 1-2 months ago so many keyboard warriors shouting pokemon is NFTs round 2.
Please show me a NFT project with financials like this. Actually try find me a NFT project that even have financial statements.

I don’t talk much about Crypto as I am primarily a tradfi trader but this one us special.
Prices of these TCG tokens don’t need to be correlated to the underlying assets in this case pokemon cards. This is because it is more to do with their business flows and nothing to do with the cards themself. I look at them slightly like an exchange, they are the service provider and instead of stocks you have cards.
I expect these TCG tokens to outperform the cards themself massively.
But remember my first point that there is no correlation.
This also means as price goes up don’t forget to pay yourself, taken some money off the table and reward yourself with some shiny cardboard.
Ultimately this is giga bullish for the TCG industry as they onboard more and more crypto-natives to the TCG scene.
Maybe i was wrong to call a dip coming for pokemon… looks more like a consolidation and next leg up.
@88Cozmo@island_trader1 Life is a zero sum game has to come from somewhere… but smart money will slowly take profits and shove it into vintage u watch.
@88Cozmo Trainers hard due to the errors
Was thinking maybe add pikachu next tho…
The rest are too common to monitor… price arnt high enough to get people to grade
Looking at sets where i feel population growth either is gonna expand or will plateau
