In 2021 we had the first nft to sell for over $1m (a @cryptopunks ). From there the nft boom was ushered in.

Holding a CryptoPunk has always been a belief in the entire cyberpunk and decentralized movement. You can’t hold a punk and not believe in the story of decentralization, of provable scarcity, of valuable digital goods, and of generative art.

I first wrote about CryptoPunks in early 2021. They were the first nft I ever purchased and what got me excited about on-chain ownership, the potential of NFTs and the entire digital art movement.

They were the inspiration behind building @HelloMetaversal where we have been dedicated to seeing that movement grow.

I’m excited to see the Punks IP in the hands of a thoughtful and wonderful custodian in @nodefnd. Thank you to @yugalabs for being a great steward for the crypto art market.

Congratulations to all that believed in the story of the Punks and all that will continue to believe in the years to come.

It’s only fitting I change PFPs to pay homage to my first true love, the one that got me into this wild and wonderful movement.
