One of the best things I ever did was stop feeding into negativity. I always felt this overwhelming need to explain myself. I always wanted everyone to like me. I wasted so many years placing myself inside a box because I allowed other people to make me question my own heart.
Teach your children how to advocate for themselves. Especially how to do it with authority and in situations where the power dynamic is a big factor. Teach them to trust their gut and how to speak up when something is off. Model this and validate them when they do it with you.
