Nope. @GovPritzker is the best governor in America.
Look at all these categories Illinois is number one in.
#1 in highest property taxes
#1 in highest combined state/local tax burden
#1 in cell phone taxes
#1 in local government bureaucracy
#1 in fiscal instability
#1 in worst state pension crisis
#1 in state pension debt
#1 in pension debt per capita
#1 in lowest bond ratings
#1 in public corruption convictions
#1 in biggest gas tax increase since 2019
#1 in eliminating school choice
#1 in lowest fiscal transparency
#1 in gerrymandering
Pritzker is #1!
You're gonna want to be sitting down when you open your energy bill for June. Electricity rates in Illinois went up more than 15% yet again on June 1st.
Turns out decreasing supply by closing cleaner natural gas plants too soon while increasing demand with data centers leads to skyrocketing costs for working families, small businesses, and manufacturers.
Who could've predicted that? Many of us did. For years. But Pritzker cared more about lining up talking points for his national ambitions than helping everyday Illinoisans.
RAW VIDEO: I Cornered Pritzker About The Chicago Bears — And He Refused To Answer 🚨
I went to Gov. Pritzker's presser today and here's what happened:
Gov. Pritzker said he didn't want taxpayers spending billions to help a billionaire family keep the Chicago Bears in Chicago. But he's a billionaire himself. 💰
And he's been more than happy — even proud — to spend billions of taxpayer dollars on illegal aliens.
So I asked him: "We all know the Bears generate revenue. Illegal aliens typically are a drain on taxpayer dollars. Do you think long-term, especially when you're running for President of the United States, losing the Chicago Bears will be a bad decision?"
Pritzker refused to answer. Instead, he blamed Greg Abbott and defended spending billions on illegal aliens.
So I followed up: "Would those taxpayer dollars have been better spent on American citizens?" Pritzker refused to answer that, too.
When a governor can't answer a straight question from a reporter, taxpayers should ask themselves why. #thatreporter
Ben Johnson presser takeaways:
▪️ Roles aren’t being earned yet that starts in training camp. But communication has improved.
▪️ Ball placement is a daily priority. They’re grading Caleb ABCDF in QB meetings, individual, 7-on-7 and team periods. Ben said Caleb has taken it to heart.
▪️ Caleb is doing a better job carrying meeting-room work onto the practice field. Doesn’t need a ton of reps.
▪️ Colston Loveland has been one of the most consistent young players Ben has been around. Advanced in the playbook, always taking notes, good in pressure moments, trusted by QBs/coaches, and his route tree has taken another step.
▪️ Kalif Raymond is not just a gadget guy. Ben praised his vertical push, urgency off the ball, inside/outside versatility, elite quickness and motivation.
▪️ Minicamp goals: establish the standard, handle business, run after catch, pursuit, takeaways and ball security.
▪️ Ben says he’s evolved as a play caller more situational, more focused on tailoring the offense to the guys available and getting playmakers the ball in space.
▪️ Darnell Wright stood out for his professionalism and approach. Ben called him a powerful, right-side tone-setter who can displace people in the run game.
▪️ On defenses having more tape on Caleb: Ben said the priority is mastering core plays first then the exotic stuff can come. #DaBears #Bears #ChicagoBears
Pritzker is the anti-Harry Truman. The buck DOESN’T stop here. He’s blaming the Bears for leaving when it’s his job to protect the interests of the people of Illinois. Pritzker will spend $2.5 billion to keep illegal immigrants here, but not a penny to keep the Bears.
The Freedom Caucus gets it. This is the most terrifying bill I’ve seen in my 20 year professional career.
I live in the state with the highest tax burden, highest corruption, and lowest bond rating in the country for 13 consecutive years. I’ve seen a lot of bad stuff.
If this bill passes the Senate and Gov. Pritzker signs it, as is, you need to pray your community never sees a megaproject nearby.
Every single dollar of property tax relief for billionaires can be dropped on the heads of other taxpayers. This means you.
The bill sponsor admitted this 3 times today.
A single $5B Megaproject could kick off $330M+ in property tax burdens on other taxpayers.
Why are we bailing out billionaires to screw everyone else? This isn’t a game @GovPritzker. You need to put an end to this.
When the new Bears Megaproject bill - HB 910 - drops I will be analyzing it line-by-line here on X. Good or bad.
As it stands, it would be a disaster for non-Megaproject property taxpayers. Instead of property tax certainty, it’s more accurately described as a property tax swap bill. In Arlington Heights alone, it could shift more than $300M in property tax hikes onto surrounding communities in Cook County per year, once construction is completed.
Another proposed $20B Megaproject in the bill sponsor’s backyard - One Central - could receive $600M-700M/year in property tax breaks/swaps once completed.
Together, just two megaprojects could shift $1B/year in property tax hikes onto neighbors. Horrific!
Yesterday, House Democrats waived third reading bill deadlines for HB 910. It was due last week, but has been extended to the end of May.
It looks like Republicans voted stop the waiver of the rules, but the vote tally doesn’t appear online.
