Ever wondered what "on-chain art" actually means? Most NFTs store a token on-chain, but the actual artwork lives on IPFS, Arweave, or servers. The blockchain simply points to your art — it doesn't contain it.

Owls, on the other hand, are contained on the blockchain directly.... The entire artwork exists as Solidity contract logic. When you view your Owl, the contract generates the SVG in real-time — no external calls, no storage lookups, just pure code execution.

At mint, the contract reads the blockhash and combines it with your token ID through keccak256. This creates your owl's immutable DNA — a 256-bit seed that determines every trait through bit-shifting operations. Only code. Zero dependencies. Your owl is replicated across thousands of Ethereum nodes worldwide. As long as the network exists, your art exists — rendering identically, deterministically, forever.

It appears that Telea didn't have full control of the ball. That paired with the ball moving forward is what makes it a bit more controversial?
