A huge, GINORMOUS thank you goes out to Anne and Lesley this Administrative Professionals’ Day. This building couldn’t function without them, and we are so lucky to have them at Adena! 🤍🌸🫶🏼

Teachers who receive regular recognition & appreciation are:
* More productive
* More engaged in school
* More likely to stay with school
* More likely to receive higher satisfaction scores from students & parents.
Yes, Appreciation matters!
Did you know the most most destructive behavior in all types of relationships is blame. Our brains interpret blame the same way they do a physical attack. This is hard to overcome. It takes about 5 positive experiences to equal a negative one.
Life is hard, life is unfair. So, teaching your kids to be resilient is tough and necessary. But teaching them to show respect to people that dont deserve it is even harder.
Talking about traditions and culture and the next day the show up with some things to share about their countries, unsolicited but welcomed! #proudbilinguals@AdenaElementary
Tomorrow Lau v. Nicholas celebrates 50!🎂 I am asking that we all stop and remember that 50 years ago on Jan. 21, 1974, the Supreme Court's decision in Lau v. Nicholas deemed that "[T]here is no equality of treatment merely by providing students with the same facilities, textbooks, teachers, AND curriculum; for students who do not understand English are effectively foreclosed from any meaningful education."
How are we doing? How far have we come in this 1/2 century?

@GStephanopoulos your composure this morning was exceptional, that’s not typically a Greek trait. Every Greek dad wants someone like you as their son in law. Keep representing truth. #sayitloudgreekandproud
