The West Cheshire League is a Regional Feeder League (Step 7), to the NLS which is Step 6 upwards.
Helsby won their Step 7 league by 13 points last season 🤷‍♂️
We didn’t have an extra side of hard standing and a spectator shelter 🙈

@_StephenKillen Makes a mockery of the whole step 7 to 6 promotion system when you have clubs who can’t survive past Christmas getting in ahead of clubs like @HelsbyFC who walk their step 7 league, have some of the best facilities in the area but didn’t have a path in the right place in March.

👍 Our U23s came out on top in a seven goal thriller against @WchurchJnrsWC26, Harry Webster with a last-gasp winner
👎 The Firsts’ inconsistent campaign continued with a disappointing 4-2 loss away to @NestonNomadsFC

A very disappointing performance from us sees us fall to a last minute 4-3 defeat. Take nothing away from @HelsbyFC though, as we didnt lead once in the game and equalising each time we went behind. The biggest disappointment was making it 3-3 with 90 seconds to go

🟢 A great performance saw us win 5-2 against a very good @Fcbootle side.

Always a competitive affair versus the hosts, who lifted the Pyke Cup last season.
We will need to be much improved from our last outing. Should be an entertaining start to the weekend!

Firstly, well played Aintree who deserved their win.
As for us, we were well below par and only gave it a go in the last 10 mins when we were down to nine men.
Inconsistent with so many new faces, we need to get this out of our system and hit the levels we know we’re capable of.
