Helvex brings private RFQ trading to onchain markets, built on @CantonNetwork, with firm settlement terms and atomic exchange of both assets.
What Helvex is, and why that matters. 👇 https://t.co/Lb8CEdlkMp
Treasury teams know the workflow: request a quote, evaluate the terms, decide.
Helvex brings that RFQ approach onchain, with requests shared with desk counterparties and both swap legs settling together on Canton.
A familiar process with a different settlement engine.
A market can show its progress while keeping individual trades private.
An important point from @wesarn_real: confidentiality and a measurable ecosystem can develop together.
Privacy on Canton does not mean a lack of transparency.
Broadridge shares aggregate data that helps understand the network’s growth.
At Canton Summit, @Wesarn_real discussed why that visibility matters, showing how use cases are scaling and value is reaching users.
For an asset manager, a rebalance shouldn't become a public trading signal.
Helvex brings private RFQ negotiation together with onchain settlement: request a price from desk counterparties, then settle both assets atomically on @CantonNetwork.
A trade connects two counterparties. Their assets and cash may sit on different systems.
Canton’s vision of privacy-enabled, interconnected networks speaks directly to that reality: bring the two sides together while keeping the details with the parties involved.
A useful takeaway from @Viv_Diwakar for everyone building financial markets.
Canton Foundation's @Viv_Diwakar took the Stablecoin Stage at @KBWOfficial with a keynote on where institutional finance is actually heading.
"Real markets were never going to collapse onto one ledger. The future of institutional finance belongs to privacy-enabled, interconnected networks."
AMMs, order books and RFQs solve different execution problems.
The question is not which model wins. It is which market structure fits the flow.
For size-sensitive trades, RFQ lets participants compare firm prices before choosing whether to execute.
20,000 to 908,000 transacting parties in a year. 46× growth in Canton’s participation footprint, according to The Tie.
On @CantonNetwork , a “party” is an identity used to hold assets and interact with applications. The figure tracks distinct party IDs that have completed at least one transaction over the network’s history.
Alongside the institutional names, Canton now has a much broader base of identities participating onchain. For builders, that’s an encouraging signal: the ecosystem they’re building for is expanding.
What do you think is driving this growth?
.@CantonNetwork has passed 900K unique parties.
A year ago, our data counted 20K parties that had ever transacted on Canton.
That count now stands at 908K, up 46×.
Helvex brings RFQ trading onchain on Canton Network.
Request a price. Compare firm quotes. Choose one and settle both sides in a single transaction.
Here’s how it works.
Privacy in financial markets is not simply about hiding an amount after execution.
It is about controlling who can see each part of a transaction and preventing sensitive market information from being broadcast in the first place.
How Does Canton Network Keep Transactions Private?
On Ethereum and most public chains, every node sees every transaction. Canton (@CantonNetwork) works differently as each party only sees the parts of a transaction it is involved in.
(1) Need-To-Know Privacy
Unrelated parties don't just miss the details. They don't even know the transaction exists.
(2) Visibility Is Written Into The Contract
Canton's smart contract language, Daml, defines who can see each contract. Signatories and observers see it. Everyone else sees nothing unless they're explicitly added.
(3) Sub-Transaction Privacy
One transaction can be split into separate "views."
If Alice pays Bob and Bob pays Charlie in one atomic trade, Alice never learns about Charlie, and Charlie never learns about Alice. A regulator can see a trade too, but only if it's added as an observer.
(4) The Infrastructure Is Blind
Each view is encrypted for its recipients. The synchronizer, which orders transactions, only sees encrypted messages plus routing data like timestamps and party IDs. It can't read amounts, prices, or terms.
(5) Only Stakeholders Validate
Instead of every validator checking every transaction, only the parties involved confirm it. This keeps data private without weakening integrity.
(6) Privacy Across Apps
Transactions can span multiple applications atomically, with the same privacy rules applied throughout.
For banks and asset managers, this design addresses a long-standing problem with blockchains: settling on shared infrastructure has usually meant exposing trades, loan terms, and positions to competitors.
@BSCNews@CantonNetwork This is the distinction public-chain discussions often miss: privacy is not simply hiding an amount after execution.
It is controlling who can see each part of a transaction and preventing sensitive market information from being broadcast in the first place.
A large onchain trade reveals more than its size.
It tells the market what you want to buy and how urgently you want it.
On a public venue, that information can be used against you.
Privacy in financial markets is not about making everything invisible. It is about showing the right information to the right participants.
Canton’s sub-transaction privacy makes that possible for Helvex: RFQs reach selected makers, negotiation stays private and settlement remains verifiable.
Not all privacy is created equal.
Some solutions anonymize everything. On Canton, privacy reveals only what’s necessary.
Here’s how Canton’s selective disclosure privacy model works 👇
A trade should not create a second problem called settlement.
On Helvex, accepting a quote and exchanging both assets form one atomic transaction: both legs complete, or neither moves.
One price. One acceptance. One settlement.
What's an RFQ? Remember the old trading floor?
A trader wanted a price, called several dealers and compared their quotes before choosing one.
That’s an RFQ: Request for Quote.
Meet Helvex: private RFQ swaps on @CantonNetwork .
Request a price. Competing market makers respond privately with firm, executable quotes. Accept one and settle atomically.
No public mempool. No MEV. No slippage.
