The notion that women were inherently more moral than men was a byproduct of a social requirement: women, in order to secure the commitment of a man, had to be beyond reproach.

Modern women don't appreciate this. They thought that men just wanted women so badly that they didn't care about their moral condition, but they do.

Good men do not want to expose themselves to the risk of a morally degenerate woman.

Unfortunately, too many men are happy to take advantage of the moral conditions of women.
