This week, we celebrate and promote the women who work in the construction industry. Here are the women of Henkel (short a couple from our Ames branch – but we value you too!)
Such a thrill to host MC High students for a typical day at one of our jobsites! They reviewed project drawings, saw work in progress, explored construction career opportunities -- even a hands-on simulation. We hope to inspire the next generation of builders!
We live our safety values every single day, like at yesterday’s Henkel Construction annual meeting. Stretching is important — even when we’re not on the jobsite!
We’re happy we were able to help the city of Britt maintain the high quality of the water they provide their citizens. You can learn about their new water treatment facility and see some pictures here: https://t.co/7ssQnAEoSL
Each month an @AmesAlliance company hosts Coffee Mingle. Henkel Construction and Accord Architecture hosted the networking and informational event this month. Thank you to those who attended! We hope to see you next time!
We’ve finished Pre-Engineered Metal Building erection at Midland Power Cooperative Shop in Boone. Now we’re moving into façade work with masonry and metal panels. Site work will wrap up before winter. Great design, Accord Architecture!
Last week, @RHSHowardCounty cut the ribbon on the Clinic Expansion project Accord Architecture designed and we built. Their new clinic space has its own canopy and entrance. Built during COVID, many areas have negative air pressure and dedicated rooftop HVAC.
Work is well underway at the new Mason City Bike Park Shelter house. The laminated wood roof structure has been set as surrounding sitework continues to take shape.
We’re adding a dorm to the east side of Mason City Fire Department’s building. We’re also remodeling existing offices, locker rooms, and dayroom/dining areas. We’re currently putting the roof deck on — it should be weather tight in a few weeks!
Ames History Museum is moving exhibits back into place so they can open soon! We connected them to their historic Pantorium building next door. They’ll have 5 times the exhibit space! Also a brand new roof & lots more. Check out the before/after!
Here’s the Willow Creek Riverwalk from Hwy 65 to footbridge. We poured large footings at the lower plaza area and formed/poured the 2 tall walls. There will be stairs between, bringing folks close to the water. Lots of changes in the next 2 months!
We’re almost done with our Ankeny Stadium project. We've built a 2-story building to the north of the football field and track for team and coaching lockers on first floor and meeting rooms/assembly on second floor.
We’re finishing up at Thompson Hall, an IVCCD dorm in Iowa Falls. We renovated dorm rooms and student amenities throughout the building, the lobby area, and a complete remodel of restrooms. It’ll be full of students this fall!
