@patristicpill A priest went on a podcast and now I’m gonna go complain on X anonymously. Those who disagree I’ll label retarded. Then I’ll accuse the priest falsely of blasphemy.
Maybe get off X dude. You are pathetic. Completely not in touch with reality
@EthanWayne2001 Your whole personality is reactionary. It’s actually very sad. Every time you pop up in my feed it’s you complaining about some issue that doesn’t even exist.
You are so diluted in your contempt you think it’s bad when a priest goes and talks to women. You are clueless
@ChristandGuitar@OrthodoxEthos@BahBahBased The claim that scripture is hard to comprehend on your own and attempting to interpret on your own can be dangerous is in scripture.
You are a southern Baptist. A heretical American sect of Christianity made less than 200 years ago. Of course real Christianity is foreign to u
@Theofash1@JimJatras More Orthodox to describe it as a body, Christs’ body and groom. The New Covenant is offered to all humanity through Christ. We enter into that covenant by being united to Him in His Body, the Church, and participating in the life of Christ.
@OrthodoxGabriel@mosesofseoul In the last two years I’ve discovered majority of evangelicals beleive this. I even saw a YouTube video where a gentleman said this and explained it word for word. He had no idea he was blaspheming God. It’s actually very sad
@TopLobsta Given James 5:16 and instances of intercession saving people in the Bible, you either are a complete ignoramus, abhorrently prideful, or perhaps just a slow boi.
@desertcynic@NoeticSpring For someone so concerned on how people perceive Orthodox spirituality, it’s funny all you do is complain and whine with an Icon of a Saint Christopher as your profile picture.
@desertcynic@NoeticSpring How did you squeeze in Jordan Peterson as some sort of arbiter or influencer of Orthodoxy soteriology?
Also, you mention Pageau and just said his “symbolism”. What are you even saying?
Then your conclusion is: people care too much about fairy tales?
@Spies4gold@Catholicizm1 If people’s belief in Jesus Christ rest solely in the shroud then yes that’s wrong and a major issue. Calling the shroud “idolatry” in of itself is also wrong. People do not think the shroud is God, nor it hold power.
@Spies4gold@Catholicizm1 Once again you have no idea what that word means. No that’s not idolatry. That is just people using modern science to see what the shroud is.
Do they worship it? Do they treat it as God? Do they think the shroud will save them? No, it isn’t idolatry it’s modern science u idiot
