@duolingo #Duolingo, you don't need to tweet about the miserable #duolingoupdate. At least say something interesting about learning or linguistics... I mean, you're trying to be relevant so desperately, it gets embarrassing. Quite sad, actually... Wait! Is this the reason why @Duo_is_sad?

@Andylee_Sato @AliAbunimah @duolingo It's the hardest part sometimes. Come to think of it, Duo's last advantage may be the number of languages. But most probably D will slow down the development, since they were relying on cost-free crowdsourcing, which may be impossible, since the app's fully commercialised by now.

@duolingo @CrookedMedia I've recently noticed, learning French with @memrise and @babbel, how poor the audio quality in Duolingo is. How about you work on your courses a little bit, and stop all those crappy distractions? You are not that special, Duo, especially after the awful #duolingoupdate.

@Memrise's videos are a nice touch. They show you native speakers. What I find adorable is how much in character some them are. Look at this girl! As John Oliver once put it on @LastWeekTonight, she "is almost offensively French". 🇫🇷 J'adore! #LanguageLearning #myfrnch

An experiment. I started to learn #French. I used to understand it a bit 25 years ago. For now I will be using @duolingo, @memrise, @babbel & @falouapp, let's see how it goes. The goal's to communicate comfortably by the time of @Paris2024 Olympic games. #LanguageLearning #myfrch

Thing I really hate about @duolingo, which doesn't happen that much in @memrise (and didn't happen to me with @babbel at all) is that the app gives me exercises based on structures I was never given a chance to learn. It's so I lose hearts, obviously.
