Some arrests in Uganda!! are very safe 💯. I personally identify my character with the public domain. @MODVA_UPDF We need a system to identify criminals in the current gov't @GovUganda for night business operations.. UGANDA has the best leaders in the 🌎 world🌍
Thank you for this insight VC, but as far as I know, and basing on the records from Parliament, all the other nominees who had the same issue like yours presented to the committee evidence of renounciation of American citizenship. Just to prove them wrong, did you present the same to the committee ie for Canada and Rwanda? Just a point of privilege, I have been a member of the appointments committee for the last five years and I know how it operates basing on the rules.
The narrative of Hon. Tayebwa wanting to fail you because the committee must fail at least one person is not true because the President has been appointing people to serve in different departments and we have never failed any basing on the above accusations.
We have very many banyarwanda serving government even as ministers and no body has ever victimized any because they’re Banyarwanda.
Mr. Muganga Lawrence was not rejected by the committee for being a Munyarwanda, a narrative i see some people so deceptively selling. We have other leaders who are banyarwanda who were approved & have been approved in the past. Hon . Aisha Ssekindi and Dianah Mutasingwa were approved yet they are Banyarwanda but Ugandan citizens.
Muganga was not approved after he denied holding a Rwandan passport, but the Committee investigations confirmed he holds 3 passports: Ugandan, Canadian and Rwandan. Why was he denying it? Therefore, the claim that he was rejected because of being a munyarwanda is totally false, misleading & dangerous.
Today, we commemorate the extraordinary courage, unwavering faith, and ultimate sacrifice of the Uganda Martyrs.
As we remember their legacy, we renew our commitment to patriotism, pan–Africanism, unity and service to our nation.
Mungu Pamoja Nasi.
President Yoweri Museveni is set to deliver the 2026 State of the Nation Address to Parliament on June 4 at Kololo Independence Grounds, where he will provide an update on Uganda's progress, challenges, and the government's policy direction.
This afternoon, I had a wonderful interaction with the Appointments Committee of Parliament, an experience that has further strengthened my commitment to not only do my best, but to do whatever it takes to meet the expectations of the people of Uganda.
I am deeply grateful to the Committee for its approval and the confidence it has placed in me. As I prepare to take the oath of office, I pledge to faithfully uphold it and to serve with dedication, integrity, and unwavering commitment to our nation.
I look forward to contributing my utmost to the development and progress of Uganda.
Honored to appear before the Appointments Committee today as Minister of @MoICT_Ug designate. Our major focus will be expanding internet connectivity, making data affordable and driving digital inclusion for every Ugandan. Grateful for the engagement.📸 @nbstv@newvisionwire
