The Green Party are entitled to their own views but not their own facts
The costs of transitioning to clean power don’t usually include costs of balancing the grid for intermittent solar / wind, nor costs of upgrading the grid with new pylons etc

On 6th February last year whilst in Opposition Angela Rayner tabled and voted for a motion which sought to prevent outgoing ministers from receiving severance pay if they breach the ministerial code
She surely cannot accept that severance pay now

WATCH: Last week at PMQs Keir Starmer arrogantly dismissed @KemiBadenoch saying the Goverment had put down an amendment to their own Schools Bill, u-turning on their plans to CUT teachers’ pay. He was LYING. There is no amendment. Will he apologise to the House?
Tulip Siddiq has become a distraction when the Government should be focused on dealing with the financial problems it has created and the consequences for millions of families across the country.
The Prime Minister tried to make a big deal of his commitment to standards and integrity. His weak leadership on Siddiq suggests he is not as bothered by integrity as he claims.
It’s time for Keir Starmer to sack Tulip Siddiq.
He appointed his personal friend as anti-corruption minister and she is accused herself of corruption.
Now the Government of Bangladesh is raising serious concerns about her links to the regime of Sheikh Hasina.
WORLD EXCLUSIVE 🚨 The leader of Bangladesh says Tulip Siddiq must apologise for using property gifted by "corrupt" regime
He calls for homes to be investigated and returned in cases of "plain robbery" (1/5)

The same applies to @NickTorfaen and also to the Emily Middleton appointment by @peterkyle
Time for some clarity from the Government
This scandal around dodgy appointments is not going away....

Pat McFadden can spin all he likes
This @CivServComm report on Fixed Appointments is quite critical of the Government
It notes political donations should be declared prior to any appointment of civil servants
BUT we know Government did not do this

We now know what @CivServComm thinks should happen
We need to know if @AngelaRayner declared her donations from Labour Together before asking to employ staff from them
If she didnt declare them how could the propriety checks have been completed correctly?

He would say this wouldn't he?
In fact the @CivServComm report is critical of the Government on the most important point - see para 22
Headline numbers are a distraction and irrelevance - thread coming
There was a lot of coverage of appointments during the summer. The report into them by the Civil Service Commission has come out. Compares Tory and Labour record. It’s worth reading.

“She should resign or be sacked unless she comes up with a decent explanation for all of this.”
@MichaelLCrick tells #TimesRadio it’s becoming “a bit of a habit for Rachel Reeves”, as she comes under increasing pressure for “fiddling” with her CV.
