It’s been a privilege to be campaigning these past few days in Makerfield for local small business plumber, Army Reservist and former NHS worker @RobKenyonReform, the @reformparty_uk candidate!

This by-election has been caused by Labour’s leadership crisis and Andy Burnham’s personal ambition to get back into Parliament in an attempt to become Prime Minister - he sees local people as a mere stepping stone.

In stark contrast, Robert Kenyon is local and committed to standing up for Makerfield and our country.

As they say in these parts: “Support our local plumber to stop the drip!”

Digital ID wasn’t in Labour’s 2024 manifesto so the Government has no mandate to introduce it.

This policy is wrong because of the negative impact on civil liberties, sheer cost and cyber security concerns.

Despite repeated warnings from judges, lawyers, opposition MPs and even his own backbenchers, Keir Starmer’s government is pressing ahead with plans to restrict our right to trial by jury.

Restricting jury trials is a full-scale assault on English liberty — especially free speech.

FSU research shows that people charged with speech-related offences are almost twice as likely to be acquitted in a Crown Court before a jury than in a magistrates’ court without one.

Jury trials are a vital bulwark against an increasingly authoritarian state and a militant cancel-culture mob — both of which pose an acute threat today.

Yesterday on BBC Politics South East we discussed the case of Linda who has had to give up working in social care to look after her mum due to unaffordable costs.

Fantastic news that the UK government has been forced to finally halt its Chagos surrender plans due to US refusal to acquiesce to China ally Mauritius unjustly taking sovereignty.

In time there must be a reckoning for those who promoted this deal that denied democratic self-determination for islanders, would have cost the British taxpayer tens of billions of pounds and threatened security as well as the environment - but for now we rejoice! 🇮🇴

Tory and Labour collusion tried to cancel our local elections. Reform UK restored our democracy by challenging the failing Starmer government in court.

We've been working hard in Crawley, stepping up to help local residents with the issues our council continues to ignore. Last year we successfully helped shut down a drug gang - and we’ve supported many more residents with their private concerns ever since, such as assisting in the recovery of a stolen car, a few motorbikes and much more. We managed this outside of being elected. Imagine what we can achieve in office. 🇬🇧
