We were proud to have our CEO, Simon Wolle, represent B’nai Brith Canada at the “Faith Not Fear” conference in Vaughan this past Sunday, standing alongside @yallacommunity, ChaiTech, @jnfca and many dedicated community partners. The gathering brought together community leaders and advocates committed to strengthening Jewish confidence, civic engagement, and unity at a time when antisemitism continues to rise across Canada.
The program featured powerful contributions from Mayor Steven Del Duca, current and former MPs, an insightful media panel, leading Jewish strategists, political figures, legal experts, and community organizers. Throughout the evening, speakers emphasized the growing collaboration among Jewish organizations, the urgent need to confront misinformation, and the importance of cultivating a strong, unapologetic Jewish identity.
We extend heartfelt thanks to all participants, including B’nai Brith Canada ambassador Ben Mulroney, whose thoughtful and engaging moderation helped make the evening not only memorable but deeply meaningful. The conference marked a significant step toward a more united, resilient, and confident Jewish future in Canada.
An absolute pleasure to attend @usconsmontreal independance day celebration on behalf of @bnaibrithcanada - Thank you for Consul General Robert Patrick Sanders and ambassador Pete Hoekstra @USAmbCanada for the beautiful party !!! Happy 250th America !!!!

B’nai Brith Canada has repeatedly expressed deep reservations about the Canadian Museum for Human Right's (CMHR) Nakba Exhibit. Our concerns surround the proposed contents of this exhibit, as well as the Museum’s failure to engage in a proper, meaningful and transparent consultation process with appropriate stakeholders.
It remains unclear if museum officials held discussions with credible historians or received appropriate, informed perspectives from Jewish and Israeli Canadians, as well as organizations in the community.
At a time when Canada is experiencing a national crisis of antisemitism, including as a result of distortions of Zionism and Israeli history, we are concerned that CMHRs’ exhibit will fuel hatred and promote revisionist narratives.
Our concerns about CMHR’s lack of transparency during this process have been amplified by the recent revelation that foreign actors may have been involved in the consultation or development of the exhibition.
It is unacceptable that a member of a foreign official delegation to Canada may have influenced, or been positioned to influence, a Crown corporation’s decision-making.
This requires a full, open and transparent investigation. Acting responsibly and in the collective national interest, the CMHR must delay the exhibit’s opening until the allegations of foreign interference have been fully investigated.
Anything less would further undermine its credibility and accentuate the potential harm caused to the Jewish community, and all Canadians.
Whether or not the CMHR's conduct has violated its own mandate under the Museums Act must also be investigated. The CMHR falls within the portfolio of Minister Marc Miller. We are calling on Minister Miller, who was recently tasked with chairing the advisory council directed by the Prime Minister to lead Canada's response against antisemitism, to open an investigation into the conduct of the CMHR and whether or not it has breached its legislated mandate.

Palestinian representatives met with the Canadian Museum for Human Rights during the development of its upcoming Nakba exhibit.
This should be a Canadian museum for a Canadian perspective on human rights, not foreign agendas.
I asked the minister for his position.

. @bnaibrithcanada welcomes @SorayaMartinezF decision yesterday to postpone the vote on Projet Montréal’s divisive motion until August, as well as to open the door to dialogue with opposition parties.
This outcome also reflects the strength and mobilization of our community. We thank the Jewish community, partner organizations, and the many allies who spoke out clearly and firmly against this one-sided, unbalanced motion.
At a time when Montreal faces a serious and growing crisis of antisemitism, alongside the ongoing tensions and concerns around accusations of racism in Montréal‑Nord, postponing this vote on a complex foreign conflict is responsible and necessary to put the interests of all Montrealers first — helping preserve civil peace and reduce tensions.
