Happy #WorldSnakeDay! A semi-aquatic snake that likes to burrow as well as swim, the false water cobra gets its name from their ability to flatten its neck, mimicking the "hood" that cobras use as a defence mechanism. However, they don't adopt the upright stance of a cobra!
17 July — Save the date
Come join the Low-Carbon Conversations to see Brian Sutherland show off some summer-friendly speculative designs for our electronics, and to discuss de-growth strategies for repair, upcycling, and energy harvesting.

Ron was a key supporter of Gro-Carts (2016–2019), walk-rolling through Surrey with Gro-Carts — and with humans, too: Steve, Hugo, Kate...
He believed food should be grown everywhere. He planted #food crops in grassy medians, abandoned lots, parks...

You know who they are — those people who come into the world & grow amazing things — quietly weaving networks, planting seeds, sustaining gardens & friendships, hopes for a better future.
We are so fortunate when they enter our lives.
Ron was such a person. RIP, Fave🐝ing.
A wonderful time lapse of the Stinkhorn mushroom. They are a wide and diffuse family of fungi with many subtypes and amazing appearances that often look otherworldly. True to its name, the Stinkhorn emanates a strong odor and it is often said you can smell them before you see them!
