Big thanks to @piyushgarg_dev โ your Node.js + System Design course sparked my love for backend engineering ๐
Please launch a standalone System Design course in English, brother!
Will document my journey here โ Backend devs, letโs connect, learn & grow together ๐
PS: Iโm a newbie trying to transition from a non-tech background to a backend developer role โ here to learn, build, and share the journey ๐ช

@BigilKali_Offcl@itisprashanth Vijay doesnโt necessarily need 117 MLAs to prove majority. He only needs a simple majority of the members present and voting. So, if DMK and ADMK boycott the assembly, the government can prove its majority with fewer numbers and form the government.
@upsc_prakhar Hey I have built a UPSC AI mains evaluator with near human precision. I want to test it with few mains question and answer. You can send me the question and answer for GS2 - polity (Currently piloting with Gs2 - polity), Please DM me I will send the evaluation within minutes

Tests Passed: 67/75
Used Opus 4.5 for brainstorming and learning websocket.
Thank you @kirat_tw for the assignment.
Always indebted to @piyushgarg_dev for the amazing backend course in Node js.
Decent assignment to do before the year ends (v easy with AI, 7/10 hard if no ai). 3 hr limit.

Coding was always the easiest part of the job, and AI has taken over much of it now.
The tough part still stays with the human mind:
- Designing the system end-to-end (tradeoffs, constraints, scale)
- Breaking vague requirements into clear specs
- Choosing the right abstractions, data models, and boundaries
- Thinking through edge cases before users find them
- Making it reliable: failures, retries, idempotency, fallbacks
- Security + privacy by default
- Observability: logs, metrics, tracing, alerts, SLOs
- Performance + cost: what matters at P95/P99, whatโs waste
- End: โit worksโ isnโt the finish line
Engineers build systems. You may have an argument, if you write a detailed prompt covering all of it, AI will be able to do it. As I said, coding is the easier part of the job once you know what you up-to.
@kirat_tw asked us to do 8 months, 8 hours/day to get really good at CS.
Coming from a non-CS background, Iโm taking it seriouslyโvibe-coded a Chrome extension that shows the days and hours left when clicking on a new tab to keep me accountable. ๐

Vibe-coded a Chrome extension using Opus 4.5 โ Idea Vault ๐
It captures ideas I discuss across different LLMs and stores the metadata in my Notion DB for easy future access.
Slowly getting into personalised systems ๐ง โ๏ธ
