16 years and I still get a little sad when the season is over (at least for me). The ebbs and flows of following a contender never get old.
Thanks for watching, listening, and perhaps most importantly, caring. My job is a privilege I donโt take lightly.
Until we meet againโฆ
On this day 28 years ago, blink-182 was playing on Late Night with Conan O'Brien! ๐ค๐บ

๐จSMITH ON IMMIGRATION:
"If you dont have permanent status, you should be treated like a tourist"
"You dont get a pension, health care or welfare.... You need to be a taxpayer FIRST."
Bingo!
One of my favorite quotes is the one from Marcus Aurelius: โThe happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts.โ
I think itโs always good to remember it.
Premier Danielle Smith says Alberta needs its own immigration system with a โsustainableโ intake. She stated federal policies have allowed too many newcomers too quickly, straining health care, schools, housing, and jobs.
Smith wants a system like Quebecโs, selecting immigrants based on language, culture, and employability. She emphasises that newcomers should contribute as taxpayers before accessing social programs, including health care, education, and child care.
Permanent residents would only receive full benefits after meeting these requirements, and newcomers lacking basic English would face limitations until they integrate.
