My gripe with these IDW scenes is the inconsistency in narrative and character.

1. Context: It is established that Metal Sonic is not free, yet Sonic and the narrative pretend otherwise?

2. Characterization: Sonic is inconsistent concerning his personal philosophy on freedom.

Me not getting why do you want Sonic to not express his feelings and just want him to show subtle hintchs of it.

Specially because the way westerns and asians writes are way diferent when it comes to feelings, and most of westerns people miss it when the feelings are subtles.
