Although Sylvia’s title was director of the Directorate for Strategy, Plans, and Policy at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, known inside the military as the J5, he was NOT a central planner for the Iran War. That is the responsibility of CENTCOM and its commander Admiral Cooper.

Sylvia is the subject of an investigation for leaking classified information about the Iran War, the war between Russia and Ukraine, and more. Due to the Pentagon’s media policy requiring journalists to have escorts in the building, Sylvia began meeting with journalists outside of the Pentagon in order to leak classified information.

Sylvia failed three polygraphs which questioned him about leaking classified information. The investigation into him remains ongoing and has been referred to the Department of Justice for further action. The extent of his leaking became so critical that Secretary Hegseth took immediate action and fired Sylvia in order to protect national security. Urgent action was needed and could not wait another second.”

Woman Charged with Homicide in Drowning Death of her 8-Month-Old Child in Sterling, Virginia 🚨

A 30-year-old female suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with the drowning death of her 8-month-old child.

Rosellena Pisani was arrested yesterday and charged with homicide, two counts of child abuse and three counts of child endangerment.

Loudoun County Sheriff’s Deputies were called out on September 10th to assist Loudoun County Fire and Rescue with an unresponsive infant.

An investigation determined that the infant had been left in a bathtub with running water without adult supervision.

Three children, ranging in age from 8 months to 8 years, were in the home at the time of the incident.

“This is a heartbreaking case involving the death of a helpless infant and circumstances that no children should ever have to endure,” Sheriff Mike Chapman said in a statement.

“Parents and caregivers have a fundamental responsibility to protect the children in their care. Our investigators have worked diligently to pursue the facts of this case, and we remain committed to seeking justice for this child while ensuring the safety and well-being of our community’s most vulnerable members.” the Sheriff added.

Weil Gotshal was the gold standard. When people think of "white shoe" NYC firms, this is what they think of. In my legal career, if you were given an offer to be an associate at Weil Gotshal it was like winning ten Willy Wonka golden tickets.

In fact, the idea they are shutting down is basically unthinkable. This is like the New York Yankees getting kicked out of MLB. It's like General Motors going out of business. It's like China deciding to sell itself to South Korea. It's like watching a James Bond movie where he quits His Majesty's Secret Service to instead run a transgender book store in Greenwich Village.

I know most of my followers are not lawyers (but some of you are), so I'm highlighting this because it is a true bombshell in the legal industry.

At 9:50 every night, Japan's last regular overnight sleeper train glides out of Tokyo Station. It is called the Sunrise Express.

While the train has private lockable cabins, the most fascinating car on board is Car 5 and Car 12, known as the Nobi-Nobi seats.

For an extra seat reservation fee of about three dollars and fifty cents on top of your regular train ticket, you do not get a chair. You get a flat, heated, wall-to-wall carpeted floor with a big curved window looking up at the night sky.

There are no locked doors between passengers. Only a low wooden divider by your head so you don't see your neighbor's face while you sleep.

Before climbing onto the carpet, every passenger takes off their shoes and lines them up neatly in the aisle below, toes pointing out. Businessmen in suits, college students, and grandmothers lie down side by side under clean cotton sheets, set their phones on the little wooden shelf by their pillows, and fall fast asleep as the train hums along the Pacific coast.

When the morning sun rises over the Seto Inland Sea, everyone wakes up, steps into their own shoes in the aisle, and folds their blanket.

Only in a high-trust society can thirty strangers take off their shoes on a moving train and sleep like family.
