Your first online business model should not be the one with the biggest potential.

It should be the one you can start with what you already have.

→ Choose services if you have a skill.
→ Choose consulting if you have experience.
→ Choose content if you can teach or entertain.
→ Choose products if you understand a repeatable problem.
→ Choose SaaS if you can solve a problem with software.
→ Choose a marketplace if you can connect buyers and sellers.

Start with the model that matches your current skills, time, and resources.

You can always build something bigger later.
Start simple. Start with what you know.

@BabaDev_ I would say. Its better to build an audience first. Understand their problems and challenges. And build a solution specifically for them.

@mablesjoseph Both, but I’d say getting consistent attention is the hardest part. You can build a great product, but getting the right people to notice it, trust it, and eventually buy is a whole different challenge.

If you have a skill but no income, your problem may not be talent.
It may be how you package it.

People don’t buy:
- Graphic design
- Animation
- Copywriting
- Web design

They buy outcomes:
- A brand that looks trustworthy
- A video that explains their product
- Words that help them sell
- A website that brings more leads

Turn your skill into a clear result.
Then find people who need that result and show them how you can help.

Your first $1,000 won’t come from having a huge audience.
It will come from solving a real problem for a few people.

Before building anything, talk to potential customers and ask:

1-What problem are you trying to solve?
2-What have you tried so far?
3-How much time or money has it cost you?
4-What happens if you don’t solve it?
5-Would you pay for a better solution?

How to find a profitable problem in 30 minutes:

1-Pick a group of people you understand.
2-Search their complaints on X, Reddit, reviews, and forums.
3-Write down problems that come up more than once.
4-Look for problems that cost time, money, or missed opportunities.
5-Check if people are already paying for solutions.
6-Speak to 3 people before building anything.

A good problem is:
Painful. Common. Expensive.

Don’t start with:
“What should I build?”
Start with:
“What are people already trying to fix?”

I’m convinced 90% of building an online business comes down to 3 things:

1- Get good at solving a real problem
2- Explain clearly how you can help
3- Keep going when things get hard
