@evenparadise I really hate this current environment of hyper-personalization. We are all chronically online, but seeing and hearing none of the same stuff. That's crazy. The advent of the www and social media was never supposed to have us all so scattered.
I don’t care how “efficient” the private sector is.
Some services should never be run as businesses.
Health care. Water. Electricity. Gas. Prisons.
If a company makes more money when people get sicker, stay locked up longer, or have no choice but to pay, that’s a system built on conflicting interests.
That's not the lore. There is no entity, per se.
There is a new Nikki, with her desires altered by Bear's wish, layered on the real Nikki.
The new Nikki CAN'T be independent.
The only evils were Bear's initial thought to change Nikki and his actions after it randomly worked.
Here's the biggest clue. When Bear leaves the house, the entity has no job to do. Its only purpose is to make Nikki love" Bear. Without Bear... why control her? It's almost like they're inside a simulation-when the player leaves, the NPC stops moving.
