@D_rad_04 I totally agree, I remember in high school we did not get any education not only on pregnancy and development but also on sex and things like contraception. It leaves a big gap in knowledge that leads more issues further down the line

Discussing and thinking over Josie’s case made me realize how hard it is working with issues when both the laws and people close to the client are in your way. Especially when the case involves a minor who’s situation puts them at risk with people like parents and other family

Thinking about the existential theory and the way that the way we perceive ourselves can be warped makes me think about the way systems in society like capitalism manipulate our own self image for financial gain through propaganda targeting insecurities…

Even though Freuds theories can some times be seen as hit or miss in a lot of academic spaces i can think of a lot of times I have seen or even done myself his defense mechanisms especially withdraw and denial I can remember being constants for me growing up #UMBCSOWK388
