@LittleTeaWytch @nursekelsey Yes! And they always made sure we helped other families with Christmas presents too, even from a young age. Those are the most magical Christmas memories when I look back!

@NavidZohoury @nursekelsey It was an awesome explanation as to why we didn’t get the crazy big presents our friends got too. We knew our parents didn’t have a lot, but we always had more than enough. Our parents also had us practice check writing skills and we each had to write out the check to Santa 😂

The attitude that childfree nurses should pick up extra for holiday shifts so that those with children can be home is toxic. We all have family we’d like to be with on holidays, and we all deserve to take our scheduled time off to be with them.

@MegMorleyWalter When I was 2, my dad, 4 yr old sister and I were recruited to be extras in a movie being filmed at Tracy Aviary. We were told we would be extras riding on the Ferris wheel and it would be about a 15-20 minute thing. 2 HOURS LATER my dad was still on w/ screaming toddlers.
