Look at the version of the Bible you are reading. Nobody I know uses NCV. Go back to King James or ESV. You are using a weird version nobody uses that is grifting from the original translation. Are you bound to a wife, do not seek to be free. Are you free from a wife, don’t seek a wife. Basically what Paul is saying, and he says it in other places too, is if you burn with lust go seek a wife..if you don’t than stay single like him. He was single and promoted it positively in the NT.
