Maharashtra govt has decided to allow BHMS doctors who complete the Certificate Course in Modern Pharmacology (CCMP) to become eligible for registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council and prescribe modern medicines.
This is one of the most disastrous healthcare policy decisions in recent years.

If 5.5 years of MBBS education, thousands of hours of clinical postings, emergency duties, and a compulsory internship are considered the minimum requirement to independently practice modern medicine, how can a short certificate course be treated equal ?

Funny part is Homeopathic practitioners in Maharashtra are protesting to allow them to practice allopathy .

आप अगर-मगर के सहारे इससे नहीं बच सकते। कुछ अच्छे लोग हमेशा हैं, रहेंगे।उन्हें निशाना मत बनाइये, हिंसा और हुड़दंग नहीं होनी चाहिए। तब भी गोदी मीडिया की सच्चाई नहीं बदल जाएगी। जनता को हर दिन जागना होगा। आज इस मीडिया पर आप गर्व नहीं कर सकते. इसके न्यूज़ रूम के लोग भी शर्म से सहमे रहते हैं। अभी भी ज़रूरत है कि देश की हर पंचायत में पोस्टर लगना चाहिए कि गोदी मीडिया लोकतंत्र का हत्यारा है।हर पार्टी के दफ्तर के बाहर यह पोस्टर लगा होना चाहिए। एयर पोर्ट पर स्पेस ख़रीद कर यह नारा लिखा जाना चाहिए। लोगों को अपनी कार के पीछे लिखना चाहिए। इस गोदी मीडिया ने लोकतंत्र के हर कोने में सड़न पैदा कर दी है। इसके कारण कुर्सी पर बैठा हर शख़्स ख़ुद को ख़ुदा समझ बैठा है। सांसद तक लूटे जा रहे हैं। विपक्षी पार्टियाँ लूट ली जा रही हैं। वोट का अधिकार छीना गया है। इसी मीडिया के सामने। इसलिए मूल बात है कि गोदी मीडिया लोकतंत्र का हत्यारा है।

The youth of the country is not stupid. And I am extremely proud to support them and their movement! 🇮🇳

The only few people in their 20s who are supporting the Government of India today have completely vested interests either being from a family that is politically exposed and biased or being related to the policemen and journalists who are.

Rest are wannabe entrepreneurs trying to keep their VCs (with Govt LPs) happy. It’s important that the common Indians call these leeches out and categorically reject these compromised people with zero integrity.

Regardless of how “eligible” a party is, when it’s in power for a long time, it starts becoming arrogant. And it’s important for the citizens of the country to break that arrogance time to time. Peaceful protests are a part of it.

Violence has no place in the society and both the police and the mob has been violent last two days. We have all seen the videos. Everyone who has resorted to violence should be subjected to scrutiny and face the consequences of their actions. (and this should hold true for the security personnel too who used nails on their lathis, slapped and assaulted women)

Whenever protests gain public support and momentum, it is common for politicians to try and take advantage of the situation. It is important for the leaders of the protest to decide how they want the outcome of the protest to be. If it’s a non political outcome, then they should reject and request political interference. We did this during RG Kar protest and were largely successful.

But I am not sure whether after the likely state instructed police action on innocent students, this can remain non political. The true face of the emperor is now out in public and there is no going back or forgetting.

I am not sure how the protests turn out in the next few days. And the visuals coming from Jantar Mantar and CP worry me.

Also there is no wrong in supporting CJP, congress or AAP or even BJP for that Matter. But it’s very wrong to sell off your soul and spew hatred and unfounded one sided narrative of “anarchy” and “deep state”, which is what many handles are doing. The youth has the liberty to choose which party they want to vote and I know they will.

Got this message from a stranger and just wanted to assure all my followers that I will continue to voice my opinion on what I feel is right and protest against what’s wrong. I may be incorrect at times, but isn’t that a very human thing? But ignoring the molestation and assault on our female colleagues and innocent children? Maybe not so human.
