seen a few concerns from this 'new' EU 14 day refund policy so wanted to ease some concerns:

1. The EU 14 day refund policy for 'digital services' (which twitch subs fall under) is ALREADY a thing, has been for a while.

This is only a new requirement to make it easier to exercise that right, as per the updated EU law.

2. this does NOT cover gifted subs, ONLY self- subscriptions

3. there may still be bad actors cancelling all their recent self-subscriptions but as always that will flag to twitch and then they will get restricted in using the service moving forward.

the risk of heatstroke increases disproportionately if youre disabled or elderly. 28% of disabled folk in the uk live in poverty, and 18% of elderly people. hell, 20% of the population lives in poverty. refusing to take this very real fact into account when making such a vast generalisation of "just spend £200 to buy an ac unit" when a massive number of people are in the red just after paying rent is... not great.
