@HinkleTiffani @USAOWTC I think you are right about how everyone has a definition of gender but I believe most of them to be based on society's ideas, most people I know haven't thought about their "beliefs" on what gender is.

@jamesha97538348 @USAOWTC This is true even today. Until you get out of your area of comfort it is easy to use the ideas around you no matter how cruel. This makes me think of Kant's enlightenment and how people adopt the ideas around them.

@PhlatAdverb @USAOWTC I think science usually argues that since God is omniscient and omnipotent and he created all things that evolution would be unnecessary. Its kinda nice to see Darwin attribute evolution to God and his power.

@Nerdyneko21 @USAOWTC Yes, since labor became the commodity instead of the food you grow, you can't just live off that food, you have to work in a factory, get paid a small amount for what you made, and then turn around and spend it to live.

@elreydelsol2 Yes. He talks about how it is easier to just go with what everyone else is doing for fear of the unknown and society reinforced this notion then as it still does today. That is why enlightenment is so hard to achieve.

@Nerdyneko21 @USAOWTC I think the analogy of putting on masks for different situations is accurate but masks imply a falseness that I'm not sure the way we change our language in different situations does.
