On the final day, we reflected and discussed more collaborative opportunities across partners and new reforms for further research. We also shared success stories in #capacitystrengthening and #traineeexchanges. Many thanks to the IEG team and HFACT partners for a great event!
We also shared key reforms within the four HFACT-focus countries (India, South Africa, Indonesia and Brazil). Presentations from Indu Bhushan and Sampath Kumar were greatly appreciated to understand the Indian national and state context.
On January 23rd, the morning session covered a range of topics including research updates from the IEPS team, cross-cutting papers and engagement with policymakers. #UHC#HealthFinancing
In the afternoon, Ajay Tandon and his World Bank colleagues helped chair a session on 'Lessons from UHC reform efforts across Asia-Pacific'. Guest speakers shared key lessons and insights from Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. #HealthEcon

Each partner provided research updates followed by comments, questions and feedback from the room. The partners covered a range of topics including cost effectiveness thresholds #CET, #HTA practices, health taxes and state capacity.
On January 22nd, HFACT partners and colleagues gathered in Delhi for a three day conference to discuss future research, cross-country collaboration, capacity strengthening activities and policy engagement.
