Earlier today our Y9 Sports Leaders helped host a Y3/4 Cluster Athletics competition at HHS.
Events included sprint races, a 600m run, long jump, cricket ball throw & relays πβοΏ½οΏ½οΏ½οΈπββοΈ
Well done to all pupils from Horsford & Firside who took part and braved the chilly conditions! π₯Ά
Yesterday, a group of our Y7/8 students attended the @WNDSSP Spirit of the Games Festival held at the UEA.
Activities included handball, volleyball, cricket, tennis & karate.
Special mention to our karate team who won the 'honesty' award for their conduct during the event!π
The Y10 cricket team unfortunately lost their first hard ball game of the season against an impressive Fram Earl side.
Nevertheless, there were some promising performances on show with Tom B scoring an eye-pleasing 21 not out and Rhys B and Abdullah M both picking up 2 wickets.

β½οΈ7A Boys Football v. Marshland (a) - County Plate QF (Leave @ 12.45pm)
β½οΈ11A Boys Football v. Notre Dame (a) - Pathway Plate SF
Unfortunately, both our Y7 and Y8 boys football teams were on the wrong end of narrow defeats in their respective Pathway Cup finals last week.
The Y7's lost on penalties after a battling 0-0 draw against Sprowston and the Y8's conceded late on to lose 2-1 to Notre Dame.
Today, our Y12 A-Level PE students presented some excellent work they had been researching recently on political exploitation at the Olympic Gamesπ ποΈ
They each created a visually appealing presentation with some great interactive elements involved too!
Good luck to our Y7 boys football team who are playing in the Pathway Cup final against Thorpe later today.
The game is being played at Open Academy, 3.40pm KO.
Yesterday, a group of our Y10 Sports Leaders had the fantastic opportunity to attend a Careers Fair as part of the @WNDSSP Norfolk School Games Leadership Pathway.
This involved chatting with different organisations about future careers and also completing practical workshops.
Last week our Y10 Sports Leaders helped out at a @WNDSSP Y2/3 Active Maths Festival held at Langley Prep School.
The students did an amazing job leading activities which combined Maths with physical exercise and ensuring the children involved all enjoyed themselves.

The 10B team were then on the wrong end of a 3-1 loss to Reepham with Jack T scoring from a rebound after seeing his initial penalty saved.
Nevertheless, the boys should be proud of their efforts this season and hopefully will see some success in their final year next year!! π
Unfortunately, our Y10 boys football teams endured a difficult week as both the 10A and 10B sides were on the wrong end of narrow defeats in their respective Pathway/Community Cup semi finals.
Cody E's superb equaliser in normal time for the 10A team forced a penalty shoot out against CNS.
However, after 3 straight shoot out wins, the boys were finally defeated with CNS coolly putting away all of their penalties to triumph 4-1.
Well done to both our Y7 and Y8 boys football teams who are through to the Pathway Cup finals in their respective year groups.
The Y7 team battled their way to a 1-0 win over Taverham and the Y8's overcame Reepham in their semi final.
