From New School back to Old School 🎮

Yesterday I was wondering if I’m willing to give not updating the PlayStation 5, ending my PS+ Extra subscription, and going full physical discs a try. And I thought to myself, let’s go what am I going to lose?

The things I’ll lose are online multiplayer like BF6, EA FC, and of course the upcoming MW4. But hey, I think I could live with that. Then in November GTA VI comes out, and by going fully physical, I won’t be able to play it. What else… I honestly couldn’t name anything beyond that.

What am I gaining? A huge backlog of physical media that can keep me entertained for years to come. The ability to control my games and how I handle them. No longer needing to keep chasing updates, and just enjoying the era we’re in. Right now, I honestly don’t feel ready to go all digital. But that could change in the future. For now, I’m taking my time.

What do you think is the best option in gaming? Going all digital, staying in this generation, or even rolling back to an Xbox 360 or PS3? Let me know!

All Physical 📀

Like I said in a couple of posts before, I’m going all physical instead of all digital. I made the choice to buy all my games, and even movies, physically. This also means I ended my PS+ and streaming subscriptions. After purchasing Iron Man 2, I’ve now picked up these four movies as well.

The feeling I get from this is like I’m finally in control. I don’t have to switch between a hundred streaming services just to watch a movie, or pay a fortune just to be able to watch it at all. It also gives me a huge sense of satisfaction, because I don’t feel like I’m throwing my money away, although others might see it differently, of course.

Palworld Update 🐘

62 hours in and I still can’t put this game down. So much to do, overwhelming at first, but so glad I stuck with it.

Funny enough, I almost missed it entirely. I was deep into a Resident Evil Requiem platinum run when Palworld 1.0 dropped and completely took over my free time. RE9 got shelved tbh.

Now that I’m close to platinuming Palworld too, I’ll circle back to RE9, but this game isn’t leaving my rotation anytime soon.
