Myth, an early and enduring human technology, will always be with us, in both unconscious and conscious forms. As we now face the slow-motion collapse. https://t.co/QPvOfJC84L
Hank from the filling station told me all I need to know about this environment stuff: he says to me, “Hick, when you take your boat out fishing, make sure you bring extra gas. You don’t want to get Galluzzo’ed out in the middle of nowhere”
There’s a lot of confusion about my so-called “roving hick” dialect, which I feel the need to clear up. While it is true that geographically I was reared in NYC, I have, since childhood, identified as a country bumpkin. This is where my unique sound comes from.
My formative language samples and influences are diachronical — old movies mixed with occasional trips to the country house, where I would I blend with the locals and hang on their sounds.
@fleuristedumal@CoreyGalluzzo Nothin beats a staycation on the farm. Tending to the land while admiring god’s canvas as you watch the sky change colors throughout the day really makes you appreciate this beautiful country we live in and how doggone lucky we is.
I need to plow the farm to get rid of the snow so that I can till the land and rotate crops and such. Gonna be yet another long day of manual labor, but I’m not one to complain.
