Investment advisor unearthing asymmetric investments hiding in plain sight. Achieved financial independence before age 40 through outperforming the stock market
Yesterday I published on Mammoth Energy $tusk, pointing out 2/3rd of market cap is covered by net cash, financials are inflecting upward, and mgmt has given clarity on strategy to transition into an aviation & industrial rental business.

Published some thoughts on the Fiserv $fisv CEO change and the Huntsman / Olin merger $hun, $oln.
TLDR: I'm still bullish on Fiserv, and feel we got robbed by Huntsman mgmt selling out right before the chemical cycle was turning.

@Fried41339M Not happy Lyons is leaving so abruptly, but IMO new CEO Takis seems better qualified than Lyons who had more of a banking background (and is returning to banking with Truist). May have been some pressure from Jana as well. Not selling my shares while I do more due diligence.

New management completely reset the decks, and the stock is trading for less than 5 x long-run normalized earnings due to recent mis-steps from the old regime, which are being corrected by the new leadership team.
Link in bio.
@PPointpass31044 I don’t think so. If anything if it causes new car prices to increase, it would make value proposition of protective paint film more compelling to protect the investment
Highlighting $xpel, a former legendary compounder which has fallen by the wayside due to temporary slowdown in growth and margin expansion.
Price target of $80-$90 implies almost a double from its current price.

@ValueCompor9 As a parent of young kids I am a believer in Crox. Captive audience for 18 years (for the kids), and then they will probably still wear into adulthood. Even parents wear them after seeing how comfortable they are for the kids!
Greenlight Capital's Q1 came out, showing they bought Crocs $crox during the quarter.
In the letter, Einhorn highlighted that slowdown in US sales are overblown, and that mgmt will buy up to 10% of shares per year.

Published my writeup on Huntsman $HUN
HUN is a chemical producer that is on the cusp of breaking out from a cyclical downturn, but still trading at trough valuations.
I see upside to $30-$40 for HUN, which would be a triple from its current stock price.

While I focus on fundamentals, HUN's technical chart is lining up beautifully, with recent golden cross and textbook retest of the 200 day moving average (red line)
Multiple big insider purchases in last 12 months also encouraging for $hun shareholders...

As a proven stock buyback cannibal, we believe $amr can make the most of secularly higher metallurgical coal prices.
We are also starting to insider buys and the stock is looking to bounce from its 200 day moving average which would confirm a successful back test of support.
Alpha Metallurgical Resources $amr is a familiar name for us, as it was a 75-bagger from when we bought at its lows in 2020.
We are revisiting AMR with a target price of $300-$400, which is a double from its current stock price under $170.

Great article on all time investing great Stanley Druckenmiller, who has NEVER HAD A LOSING YEAR!
He’s currently long Korea/Japan, Brazil, copper, and gold.
Are these sectors worth a look?
