I fly planes and lift and fly drones and take pics. Eastern Orthodox inquirer β¦οΈ about thiiiiis π€ close to becoming catechumen. Pray for me and my Mormon wife.
Another beautiful Divine Liturgy. It's funny... my wife, a Mormon, asks me "what did you learn today?" because in their congregations it's nonstop homily and it's typically from lay people, open to their own interpretation no matter how heterodox. So I always tells her "I learned more about myself and how tuned in I am with God." It is truly the diagnosistic work and the medicine.
"The man called Jesus made mud and said to me 'go to Siloam and wash.' Then I went and washed and received my sight."
To the Pharisees: "He put mud on my eyes. Then I washed, and now I see...
... I do not know whether he is a sinner. One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see."
He finally confesses to the Pharisees that Jesus was sent from God, for who could open the eyes of a man born blind? We're all a little bit this man born blind, looking for God and only in confessing the miracles of our lives and days, correctly attributing them, do we find Him.
You talking about Telos? I love their videos. Then they get on about Meister Echkart and others and I just have to be like "oh cool, good exposure to understand others. See how and if it fits with the faith within dogma, etc. otherwise just interesting and theologically unimportant for myself."
@whiteraven271 One of my many goals is to love my daughter so much and so well and be such a good dad and husband to her mother that she does not become a feminist.
Gonna take me a while to internalize that Barabbas' name was also Jesus. The people chose to kill Jesus the Christ and release Jesus Son of the Father (Barabbas -> Bar-Abba). Our Lord's two primary titles put to task before the crowds. Poetic really.
A beautiful paraklesis to the Theotokos at St. Xenia's tonight. It always feels so different, in a really great way, to have a formal evening congregational prayer.
