God has a reason for your season and when your miracle does arrive, you’ll get to experience it with a level of love and gratitude that most will never know. So keep taking it one day at a time and surrender every fear, every attachment, and every thought over to the flow of grace. Rest fully in the embrace of God’s love and let divine forces deliver blessings profoundly more beautiful than anything you ever thought possible.
Colonel Harland Sanders had worked at different jobs and businesses for decades before Kentucky Fried Chicken became his great success story.
He was 65 when he incorporated KFC and travelled around signing up franchisees.
A PRAYER FOR ALL THE FIRSTBORNS
To every firstborn,
May you find clarity when life feels uncertain.
May strength meet you in every responsibility.
May favour lead you to the right opportunities.
May you never lack what you need.
May wisdom guide your decisions.
May your sacrifices never cost you your peace.
May you receive the same love you freely give.
May God lighten your burdens.
May your dreams have room to breathe.
May you find support when you need it.
May your efforts bring meaningful rewards.
May you flourish beyond your responsibilities
May God go ahead of you, remain beside you, and hold you up when you grow tired.
I remember one time at Ikpoba Hill when an old man used his korope to brush our car.
That car was less than 24 hours old.
I came out so angry, vibrating, but I wasn’t violent.
Osas, on the other hand, came out boiling and ready to explode.
Osas was this close to slapping the man.
I had to de-escalate the situation.
Fast forward to that afternoon, I was in front of S&T Barracks when I saw the same man loading passengers.
He came forward and apologized again.
Then he asked about Osas and I told him he was inside the barracks.
The man looked at me and said:
“Tell your brother to dey calm down settle things. Some of us, once we see say you get the spirit of anger, we go just go house go appease that your spirit of anger to help us destroy you.”
As he was talking, Osas drove out just as the man was about to leave.
I told Osas what the man said.
Osas stepped out of the car, took the man one side, and a few minutes later, both of them came back smiling.
Everything was settled.
As we drove off, Osas called his mum and started telling her everything that happened.
All his mother kept asking was:
“Hope you no hit the man?”
“Hope una don settle?”
While all this was going on, the only person I was thinking about was myself.
I was telling myself Sometimes the warning you think is meant for somebody else is actually meant for you.
Anger? It can make somebody else offend you, then still make YOU become the person that pays the biggest price.
Once people know anger controls you, they already know where your button is.
Anybody who knows how to provoke you can control you if you haven’t learned how to control yourself.
Since that day, I have never forgotten that old man’s words.
“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”
Psalm 23:5-6 KJV
Thank you Lord Jesus for your word that never fails. We declare that your goodness and mercy will never depart from us. So shall it be in the name of Jesus 🤲🏼
Every stress has an expiry date.
Remember, there were days you thought you wouldn’t survive... But here you are today with proof that you can survive difficult seasons.
TIME.
Dangote's refinery IPO opened today. The offer closes on 13 October 2026, not tonight.
Abeg, breathe.
You don't have to buy shares today because everybody around you seems to be buying. You have time to read the prospectus, understand the business and ask questions before deciding whether you want in.
An IPO gives you an opportunity to buy part of a business. It does not promise that your money will grow. Share prices can fall, and dividends are not guaranteed.
Look at your own finances before looking at somebody else's screenshot.
Rent due next week? School fees waiting? Money for food, transport or an emergency? Leave those funds out of the excitement.
No let FOMO make you carry money wey you suppose use chop go buy shares.
If you decide to participate, use an approved channel and money you can afford to put at risk. Ask a licensed adviser about anything you don't understand.
You can admire the refinery and still take your time with the investment.
Nobody sharing their purchase online knows what you need that money for next month.
African firstborn syndrome is real but no one names the cost.
You learn 'yes' before you learn 'I need help.' You cover for younger siblings and call it responsibility. You send money before you ask if you can afford to send it.
One day you notice your own children looking at you the way you used to look at your dad.
And you finally understand why he was quiet at dinner. Why he closed his eyes on the couch on a Saturday and nobody was allowed to ask why.
He was not tired of you.
He was carrying five people and could not tell you.
