One thing that stood out to me about #Pelicans equipment manager David "Big Shot" Jovanovic is how proud he was of the "ball boys" who worked for him. I was doing a story on one who went on to be an equipment manager for the Patriots in the Super Bowl and Big Shot bragged about how successful so many of them were. Engineers, nurses, IT, attorneys, you name it.
I remember being there as a kid during the Perry Clark Days, hasn’t been the same since. No need for a bigger arena when we can’t put butts in seats now. I hate playing bigger programs in the SKC anyway.
I hope one day soon I can cheer Tulane’s big 3 sports in the post season
Fogelman Arena is my favorite sports venue in New Orleans.
It’s just unfortunate Tulane has not been able to put a consistent winner or nationally relevant team in it for 30 years.
There’s a lot about the program to address but I’m convinced the gym is not the problem.

If y'all wonder why I am rooting for the Patriots on Sunday, this is why.
A fun read on former Pelicans ballboy now Patriots equipment manager @HighDEVINition8

Living a dream / full circle moment
I watched Super Bowl team buses leave Tulane’s campus as a kid
Signed t shirt from the Patriots’ 2001 team, lost in Katrina
Now, I’m working for the Patriots & going to the Super Bowl
Just a kid from Uptown.
From #Pelicans ball boy to Tulane equipment manager to the Super Bowl.
New Orleans native Devin Charles-Hubbard, now assistant equipment manager for the New England Patriots, is living the dream.
