🇺🇸🇨🇳 A judge just knocked out HALF the charges in Google’s AI theft case...

Fmr. Google engineer Linwei Ding was convicted in Jan. of stealing thousands of pages of Google’s secret AI files while getting involved with 2 Chinese tech companies.

The files included details on the chips and systems Google uses to train its massive AI models.

He was found guilty on 14 counts: 7 for economic espionage and 7 for stealing trade secrets.

But now a federal judge has tossed ALL 7 espionage convictions, saying prosecutors couldn’t prove Ding knew or intended for China to benefit.

He’s still due to be sentenced Sept. 1.

High marks for JD Vance and Gov. DeSantis, too.

These are not the words of a Republican. This is coming from a Kamala Harris voter who later admitted he “regrets” his decision.
