On 23 March, I attended the official opening of Rainbow Hub’s new school, providing specialist support for young people with neurological conditions. A proud milestone for the charity and community.

On the 16th March, I visited the Royal Air Force Cadets 723 Squadron at the Armed Forces Community HQ in Wigan. The visit was to see and promote the work within the local community of the RAF Air Cadets, as well as hear about their achievements and future plans.

On the 21st March, I attended the official opening of the Buile Hill Mansion in Salford. This Grade 2 building has been fully renovated and will now be home to Salford Registry Office and a splendid venue for weddings and other celebrations.

On the 20th March, I attended the 3rd Anniversary of The Multibank, which is part of The Brick Charity in Wigan. We were joined by many supporters, including the Mayor of Liverpool, Steve Rotherham.

On the 19th March, I attended the Iftar Dinner held by the Army of Kindness Charity at St. Andrew's Church in Rochdale. This charity provides a weekly meal for the needy and homeless. A wonderful example of so many volunteers giving up their time and food to those in need!

On 6th March, we held the Greater Manchester High Sheriff’s Awards at Manchester Youth Zone. Over 20 individuals and groups were recognised, alongside brilliant entertainment from the Bury Fire Choir. A great evening celebrating community impact.

On the 17th March, I had the great pleasure of revisiting the Friendship Circle held at the Bayit in Salford.I presented them with a High Sheriff’s award and a special recognition certificate, along with a donation for this wonderful charity.

On the 17th March, I visited the splendid Dam House operated by the Morts Astley Heritage Trust. I was given a tour of this grade two * house and witnessed the efforts of the Trustees to maintain and utilise this fine property for the good of the local community.

Later on the 16th March, I attended the League of Jewish Women’s AGM at the Stenecourt Synagogue. Along with my wife Judith, we heard the reports of the excellent work carried out by this organisation in the community over the past year.

On Monday, 16 March, I had the honour of welcoming dignitaries for a visit by King Charles III to Aviva Studios. Joined by civic leaders and partners for a proud moment in Manchester.

8th March, I attended an event at Gorton Monastery honouring lives impacted by Covid across Caribbean & African communities in Manchester. A powerful moment of reflection on loss, resilience and community strength.

On the 7th March, I attended the Smile Aid Community Cohesion Iftar Gala Dinner. This exclusive event was held in the impressive Concord Conference Centre and brought together many civic leaders, faith representatives and residents to promote unity.

On the 1st March, I attended an Iftar dinner organised by Factory International at the Aviva Studios in Manchester. The Iftar marks the daily break in fasting during Ramadan and is a wonderful way to bring the community together.

On the 22nd February, I attended a Multi-Faith Iftar Dinner at the Sheridan in Manchester. Another wonderful example of the work that is ongoing to maintain and encourage peace and harmony in our multicultural community of Manchester.

On the 26th February, I attended a Graduation ceremony at the Army Reserve Centre at Failsworth. An inspiring event to congratulate and reward all of the young people, many of whom are going on to serve in our military services.

On the 24th February, I attended an Attestation Ceremony at the Sedgley Park Training Centre. Always a moving ceremony where Police recruits are granted the right of arrest.

On the 24th February, I attended a Careers Fair at the UK Management College based within the Salford University Campus. I was asked to be a keynote speaker for an audience of students studying Business Management who are keen to explore different career opportunities.

On the 23rd February, Judith & I attended a Chinese New Year variety show held at Stockport Plaza Theatre. Organised by the Federation of Chinese Associations of Manchester, the show featured a fantastic tour by high-level performers from China.

On the 22nd February, I attended the Muslim Jewish Forum's annual Iftar Dinner. Held at Salford Civic Centre, this was another excellent event promoting multi-faith harmony.

On 21 February, I attended the City of Manchester Iftar Dinner at Whitworth Hall. Hosted by Manchester University and the Young Faith organisation, it marked the breaking of the Ramadan fast and brought together people of different faiths to promote peace and harmony.
