- Very curious to how this plays out; Boston has pigeonholed themselves after trading Ullmark
- Not sure this relationship can ever be repaired
- Would not surprise me to see a formal trade request soon as Boston has done all they can to up their offer

New regime that evaluates players differently, but starting a rebuild and trading a 24-year-old 40-goal scorer (DeBrincat) and a 21-year-old former third overall pick is very strange.

I know it’s all big with a flat cap, but if you’re a team as desperate for offense as Nashville, you have to fork over the extra 500k or $1 million to get this done. You can’t let Forsberg slip for a nominal amount

MTL taking Slafkovsky over Shane Wright smells a lot like Hischier over Patrick in 2017. Slaf benefited from a great Olympics, Hischier from a great World Juniors.

Will Wright work out better for the NJD than Patrick for the PHI? Or will the value of #2 in a trade skyrocket?

Except NJ matches and STL is forced to give up over $1 million (in 1994) and a first round pick as tampering compensation. The rest is history for Stevens in NJ.

Kudos to the Lightning for a crazy, three-year run though. You could tell they were beaten and bruised and out of gas by the end. It takes a big toll.
