I read something today that said, “some people don’t wanna lose you but they also don’t choose you and not because they’re confused, but because choosing you would require effort they don’t want to give.” And honestly that explains so much. They don’t want you to move on, but they won’t step up. They don’t want to see you with someone else, but they refuse to give you clarity. They want the comfort of knowing you’re there without the responsibility of actually showing up. They don’t want to be the bad guy. They want to keep a clean image. So beware and choose yourself, love you, yourself. Embrace yourself. Know you self worth, cause you are more than that girls 🫶🏻

Before you send that long emotional message trying to explain how much you care… pause for a second. Breathe. He already knows you care. Your effort has shown that. Your consistency has shown that. Your patience has shown that. If he’s acting indifferent, it’s not because he’s confused. It’s because he’s choosing not to respond to what you’re giving. Another paragraph won’t create care where there isn’t any. You can’t explain someone into valuing you. You can’t word yourself into being prioritized. So instead of over-explaining, take that same energy and pour it back into yourself. If someone can clearly see your heart and still move carelessly, that’s not your loss. It’s information. And sometimes the strongest move isn’t sending the message. It’s keeping your dignity.
