Muse Hassan, CEO of Himilo Microfinance was among the participants in 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, held on June 16 –17, 2025 at the Martisoor Hotel, Garowe.

In his remarks, he highlighted Himilo Microfinance’s unique approach to microfinance:

"Since we provide microloans, we do not require collateral such as land or property for financing. The reason we established Himilo Microfinance is to eliminate the burden of asset-based guarantees when loans are issued. Instead, we’ve introduced alternative risk-mitigation strategies, including the use of a person as a guarantor, to help reduce the risk of capital loss."
