The Digital Circus movie was clearly not built for theatres.
Whoever did the sound production was likely put on the spot when they were told it was going in theatres.
The ending (not post credit) is a heavy reference to Super Mario 64.
Before phones, folks of my age would either cut out pages we liked (or when the Internet improved), print out in full color and save them in a binder with laminated pages.
That's how we saved our images.
...
I had so much DBZ prints when I was younger.
@Okchibi5 I can see it. It's not often enough where someone draws with a textured line brush and can loosely shade and color with enough distinctiveness that you can clearly see the soft and hard edges without losing the texture.
There's also your character silhouettes and composition.
To the Japanese, are you more concerned about the intent or the money in regards to the free distribution that no longer exists or cannot be sold outside of said area?
And more importantly, would Japanese companies be humble enough to allow for distribution once asked?
The main disconnect I've noticed is:
Westerners are all about preservation at the cost of their time and money to provide it for free for everyone.
Japanese are all about preservation of the author's intentions and letting work die because it's "natural". *More below
One other massive disconnect I've noticed is: the product was never allowed to be sold to me or the product is no longer for distribution.
Westerners say "No one is losing anything if we provide it for free."
Japanese say "The companies and authors lose everything".
Question:
Little bits at a time. 20-ish minutes to remember how I do my thing...I think? Strugglling to remember. I remember drawing in a single layer but I pussied out and used two layers.
:/
@VimHomeless@jab50yen I swore to God, I thought this was a bot account until I saw "Following" and I was like "oh shit, I guess he just changed his profile picture".
Scared the hell out of me LOL
So that Huion little uhh...pad thing I bought a WHILE back? Yeah, the battery still hasn't died and I haven't charged it since I got it. This thing is fucking awesome.
Figured I'd try at it again but an honest attempt at the newer design.
I finally saw what my problem was with colors.
Sure, it was all sketches but I never committed to actually color color. And it's super easy too cause all I have to do is just copy the layer two or three times, merge it and then refine some more.
