Thrilled with Cleveland music critic Kevin McLaughlin's review of "Oh, my son...": "...a searing meditation...the emotional summit of the evening...harrowing and deeply human...left the hall in silence, followed by heartfelt applause." https://t.co/PDbdcbDbEY
@TheView Whatever happened to your Me, Too rage? You’d abandon victims you fiercely defended to elect a sexual abuser because of your exaggerated hatred of Trump? Wake up. Your hatred has driven you insane. If you have to hold your nose & vote, do it for a better person, even if Repub.
@Clay_Anon@jameszimmermann Clay, please rethink your last statement. It is very careless. I still use Facebook to stay in touch with my really good friends and my family, and I don’t think I’ve ruined Facebook.
Meet Christopher Lowry, a prize-winning violist and composer, who will be performing my solo viola piece, "A Call from the Woods," this Sunday! The concert is free. Come hear the fatherly call, some Memphis fiddling and a freely improvised cadenza!
Nashville Composer's Collective premiered Three Miniatures for Clarinet Alone, James Zimmerman-cl. Anonymous peep wanted a recording & paid studio fees! Pic: John Darnall, Zimmerman, & James' sour dough. ("I" = the 1st ltr. of each title) So touched!😍

TETELESTAI!
One small word. An ocean’s depth of meaning.
Tetelestai (Gr.) means “It is finished.”
The court meaning is: “The debt is fully paid.
The Legal meaning is: “The judgment has been fully served.”
The military meaning is: “THE BATTLE HAS BEEN WON! https://t.co/VZo01u4Odk
What do you do for fun? I was asked that question several times within a week. I had no answer but my work is so fun. Convicted! Along came a friend who invited me to a watercolor class for beginners.. What fun! Does anybody have any affordable ideas for a next adventure?🤔
The melody, lyrics & orchestration came to me in a dream. So powerful! “Baruch Ata: The One Who Comes” is a piece that ties the Old Testament Messiah w/ a New Testament understanding. SATB choir and string orchestra (or string quintet) with 2 winds, perc., harp, piano, & timp.
As I come to the finish line of two new pieces with a more commercial bent, I stumbled on this profound video. May the walls of musical prejudice, which go both ways, tumble down so we can all hold hands and join hearts.
We’d all be better for the listen.
