🚨 BREAKING 🚨
@HispanicCaucus adopts Non-Negotiable DHS Funding Conditions:
1️⃣ Suspend abusive ICE/CBP practices and protect citizens and lawful residents.
2️⃣ Redirect $75B from mass detention to humane community safety and affordability.
3️⃣ Deliver real accountability: unmask ICE, body cameras, ban military gear, protect civil rights.
This is what responsible governance looks like.

If ICE or federal officers violate your right to record, there should be consequences.
That's why I introduced the Right to Record Act to create a legal pathway to sue and hold them accountable — because no one is above the law.
Children like five-year-old Liam Ramos who spent time at the Dilley trailer prison will live with that trauma for the rest of their lives.
I have hope that our country will not be defined by the Administration's actions at Dilley but by the voices of countless Americans who are calling for it to be shut down.
The Republicans funding bill is disastrous for NY-13, immigrant communities, and working families around the country.
I will be voting against this funding bill and will continue to combat these harmful Republican programs and cuts that are designed to harm our country’s most vulnerable.
Republicans are asking taxpayers to hand ICE and CBP another $70 billion, even though the Department of Homeland Security still has roughly $100 billion from the so-called 'One Big Beautiful Bill.’
I voted NO.
I voted NO on Republicans’ bill to give ICE and CBP another $70 billion.
We cannot keep funding an agency that turns its guns on the American people.
This bill gives Trump a blank check to continue his cruel anti-immigrant agenda, and I’ll keep exposing his reign of terror.
ICYMI: The Trump administration tried to have nearly 3 million living people - including American citizens and permanent residents - classified as dead through the Social Security Administration.

Early this morning, the Senate passed a $70 billion reconciliation bill to give ICE and CBP more funding to terrorize our communities, and violate our rights. To avoid all transparency and accountability, they voted down EVERY amendment to protect our communities and rein in Trump's corruption while Americans slept.
We must hold the line as it moves to the House next week. NO more money to ICE and CBP. No more slush funds for corruption. We must dismantle DHS and abolish ICE!
The Senate passed a bill in the middle of the night that gives ICE and CBP $70 billion to fund President Trump’s mass deportation campaign. They’re already sitting on an extra $100 billion.
We’ve seen the brutality of ICE in our community, and I will not vote to give them billions dollars more. Instead, we could use all that money to pay for healthcare and lower the cost of gas, rent, and groceries.
United across our caucuses, we are clear: Corporate America must stand with us in defending democracy and fair representation—not just in words, but through action.
Silence is not leadership.

.@RepLiccardo says he is “deeply concerned” about how Americans get their information — and who controls their data — warning that foreign influence over major media and personal information is “deeply disconcerting.”
Watch the exchange on 535.
The inhumane conditions at Delaney Hall have caused needless suffering and preventable harm for far too long.
We're demanding immediate action and accountability from DHS, the release of all vulnerable individuals, and the permanent closure of Delaney Hall.
Delaney Hall must be shut down.
People are being detained in inhumane conditions, many of whom have never committed a crime.
The abuse, neglect, and cruelty must end. Close Delaney Hall now.
I said I would do everything to fight Trump's anti-family green card policy, and now I'm doing just that. But this is just the first step. I'll keep pushing so that American children aren't left without a parent.

CHC representatives were proud to meet with visual artists advocating for stronger legal protections against unauthorized commercial use of AI-generated imitations of their work.
The Trump Administration doesn’t want people to know about the brutality that takes place at the Dilley trailer prison—the only place in America where we imprison young children who have done nothing wrong.
The food and the water make them sick. Medical care is often delayed or denied outright. The education offered is inadequate. Families are separated from one another.
As a country, we cannot allow children to be treated like this. Dilley should be shut down.
