100% disagree.
I don’t get the mindset of being capped, however, I am always keen to apply logic to my answers.
Basing this on a family of 4.
At £100k salary - take home £5700 (avg)
Expenses:
Mortgage/ Rent - £2300
Food - (£300 x 4) £1200
Car - £400 p/m
Council tax - £230
Utilities - £400
Fuel - £200
Savings - £500 (12 x 500 <£6000>) or in real money one max two family holidays per year
Extra curricular activities for the kids - £200
Totalling: £5430 per month
This means you have an available balance per month of £270
Which could be easily be wiped out by one day out per month at today’s prices.
So no. I fully disagree that those on £100k who say it isn’t enough, have a spending problem.
