This colorful map of North Andover was created in 1996. The illustrations were done by Jim Roldan and the project was sponsored by the North Andover Lion’s Club. Notice all of the businesses as well as historic sites that are featured!

In working on inventories of some of our photo collections, one of our volunteers came across these two wonderful images dating to June 2, 1886.
Both feature survivors of the Civil War, including the 15th MA Infantry, at Gettysburg, PA.

Dr. Thomas Adam Ceplikas (1917-1998) was the local artist of this featured collection item. This painted watercolor scene, dated 1966, of the Old Center is from the vantage point of Milk Street.

Collection Highlight:
Known as a pocket, this item was used as a small bag that would have been carried by a person to hold their belongings. Women were the main users of this as they did not have pockets, as we know them today, sewn into their garments.
