It was great to meet Jake, owner of Hither Green Tyres, yesterday. He has been working constructively with Council officers, including installing a fence around his premises to keep his tyres contained and off the public highway.

From today, over 8,000 children across Lewisham will be lifted out of poverty due to the removal of the child benefit cap.

@HitherGreenLab councillors have been working with residents relating to ASB near the hostel since autumn 2024, bringing the police, the Council and St Mungos’ management for open dialogue and using the Safer Neighbourhoods Panel twice as a further point of scrutiny.

There will be incoming neighbourhood patrols within parts of the Hither Green as part of the council’s effort to limit ASB around the St. Mungos hostel.

We know that flytipping is an issue in Hither Green, so yesterday @JanetDaby & @HitherGreenLab MP Janet Daby held a community clean up on the green space on Stainton Road.

We’re grateful to the community who came out and gave their time to make the area tidy.
